Hello again!
Hello there, I am proud to say that I am alive and even another year older since my last post which was a LONG time ago. Despite the lack of posts I have been knitting a lot. Between the massive amounts of knitting, reading, and cooking/baking, I am having a pretty good summer. Wishing I had found another job for the summer, but I have one so I can’t really complain. Anyway, on to the knitting. Remember how I had said this summer I was going to focus on finishing old wips? Well, I finished them all in about 2 weeks. That doesn’t leave much to do. LOL I have had to get creative and actually start new projects, that I have actually been finishing. Bring on the pics:

First I finished this lovely little counted cross stitch that I started about two years ago. Not knitting but a newly finished WIP.
Next,

A lovely crocheted granny square lap size afghan. Started this one about 2 years ago as well.
You know those blue socks I had started for my grandma? I finally finished those as well, no picture because they are on my feet. I learned a very important lesson from these socks DO NOT wait months between the first and second socks!!! Your gauge changes! Since they kind of looked like franken socks they are mine. Grandma will get a better looking pair ;-)
Finally felted those slippers:

Lousy picture but extremely comfy slippers. (yes those are the blue socks under the slippers. LOL)
Next I finished that red scarf I was working on:

Yet another lousy picture, but you get the idea.
That completes the collection of completed WIPS. More fun to come :)
I am alive!
Okay, I haven’t been on here for a while. It has been busy. Finals are over though!!!! I am nearing the end of my one week visit at home before heading back to college town and work. Did I mention that I have been sick the entirety of my visit home? No? Well then I’ll fill you in. I have been sick, the WHOLE time. UGH! I am starting to think it is something at home. Last time I got to be home (spring break) I was sick too. Oh well, I guess it will make a good joke though. “hey ya wanna go home?” me “NOOOO, I don’t wanna be sick!” yeah it’s kind of funny. I do laugh at inopportune times though. Like a packed movie theater when the bad guy in a horror flick is killing someone, or at a play when someone is singing about being a hoar, or when I or others fall down stairs, okay maybe my friends are right in saying that I am horrible. Anyway, I am starting to feel better. I have been thinking about knitting whilst being sick. Haven’t actually felt like knitting any, but I have been thinking about it. I have been considering what shall be the summer project. I considered clothing, shawls, afghans, socks, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I have come to the conclusion…….that the summer project will be……..finishing UFOs (unfinished objects). Okay, I know. It’s a total let down. I was sad too. But, it will be a good thing and sadly it does need to be done. And just think how much better it will feel after they are all done. Well, tea is calling and maybe, just maybe some knitting. Till next time, Happy knitting :)
Must check this out. It is funny :)
Knitting, yay!!! Paper, booo :(
Yippee! I snuck in some knitting today. Not much but some. Then I realized that I have a paper to write and I only have three days to do it minus Wednesday, because it’s pretty much screwed, so I guess only two days. I apparently can’t do math today either. LOL It’s not a really long paper but it is a tedious paper. It’s for my Ethics class. So I have to go back through the books a bit and try to remember which old white guy said what and why. Geeze, what the heck am I doing on here??? I should be writing a paper.

This wrap is pretty neat looking. Cables and lace. Definitely a fun combo.
I’d rather be knitting
Just finally finished my math homework. Yippee!!! I am still of the opinion that English majors shouldn’t have to take math, but I’m almost done with it so I guess I can’t complain too much. It probably would have helped too if I would have taken it my first year of college instead of waiting till now. Oh, well that’s how it goes. LOL It has been a cloudy rainy weekend which I am extremely grateful for. Even though that sounds really odd. It is REALLY hard for me to do homework when it is sunny and beautiful outside. I have been enjoying listening to the rain, and the lovely smell that comes with it. Homework is actually getting done. Yay!! Still have a list a mile long to get through but it will happen……eventually. Haven’t done any knitting this weekend but I did sneak in a couple of hours in during the last week. It just happened to be sunny and beautiful outside. Sat out by the lake knitting for a while. I found out when I tried to work on my knitting when I got back to the room, that I am easily distracted outside and make several mistakes. LOL Got it fixed though. I also figured out that the sun makes a pretty pattern through the lace.

Not the best picture, but you can get the idea :)
I have avoided the homework long enough I think. Hopefully as finals get closer I will be able to sneak more knitting in. Will leave ya with a picture of the pretty spot I spent some time knitting earlier in the week.
